Mrs. Sara Allen Jacks, 78, passed away Fri., Sept. 3, 2004, at her home after a long illness.
Born July 21, 1926, in Barboursville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Artif Phipps Merritt.
Mrs. Jacks was a resident of Clintonville, W.Va., and was formerly of Milton, W.Va., and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer F. Jacks of Clintonville, W.Va.; one daughter, Joanna Jarvis and husband, Bill, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Billie Pinson of Barboursville, W.Va.; one grandchild, Michael Todd Villers and wife, Jackie, of Clintonville , W.Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Calee Villers.
Graveside service and burial will be 11 a.m. Mon., Sept. 6, 2004, at James Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Clintonville, W.Va., with Pastor Youel Altizer officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Longanacre Funeral Home, Fairlea, W.Va., is in charge of arrangements.
