LUTHER E. BOTKIN JR., 67, OF CHARLESTON, died July 27, 1995, at home after a long illness. He was retired from the West Virginia Air National Guard, and was a member of Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral, Knights of Columbus, and Christian Service Committee. He was a Navy veteran of World War II Surviving: wife, Nancy Rectenwald Botkin of Charleston; daughters, Bunnie Marie Pirrine and Brenda Lovejoy, both of Charleston, Sharon Shank of Charlotte, N.C; son, Bill of Charleston; nine grandchildren. Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral, with with Father Edward Sadie officiating. Burial will be in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today at Barlette-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home.
