MOUNT LOOKOUT \emdash Audrace Mae Mattison, 94, formerly of Carl, passed away early Monday morning, Nov. 19, 2012 at Ansted Center of Ansted, following a long illness.
Born July 28, 1918, in Nicholas County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bessie McClung White.
Audrace was a member of Mountain Baptist Church of Carl, and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William G. "Griq" Mattison in 1987 and three brothers Gilmer White, Reed Orndorff, and Glendon Orndorff.
Survivors include two sons, Norris Mattison (Vicky) of Maxwelton, William "Bill" Mattison (Lola) of Mt. Lookout; three sisters-in-law, Hilda White of Carl, Ruth Orndorff of Parma, Ohio, and Hope Orndorff of Carl; two brothers, Elden Orndorff (Emma) of Carl, Wyldon Orndorff (Wanda) of Quinwood; two grandchildren, Cynthia Mattison and Star Buckner (Matt); and two great-grandchildren, Matty and Cora Buckner.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Mountain Baptist Church of Carl, with Pastor Reginald Berry officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service starting at 10 a.m. at the church.
