OAK HILL - Harold Franklin (Buster) Smith, 53, of Marfrance, Greenbrier County, died yesterday in a Beckley hospital after a short illness. He was a disabled miner.
Surviving: wife, Marie; sons, Harold, Darrel, Wayne, Don and Tony of Marfrance; daughters, Mrs. Lois Moser and Linda Smith of Baltimore, Miss Ethel Smith of Riverdale, Md., and Loretta, Joan, Sherry and Delores at home; mother, Mrs. Annie Rakes of Toledo, Ohio; brother, James Phipps of Toledo; sisters, Mrs. Elsie Grinell or Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Myrtle Burnette, Mrs. Margie Cadognoe and Mrs. Margaret Pethtel of Toledo.
Service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Tyree Funeral Home at Oak Hill by the Rev. Ernest Barley. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery.
Anna married Nehemiah H. PHIPPS, son of David Crockett PHIPPS and Mary Louvena MILAM, in 1918.359 (Nehemiah H. The cause of his death was liver problems (cirrhosis).
