Bessie L. Hunter Succumbs at 79
CHARMCO (RNS) - Mrs. Bessie Lee Hunter, 79, died Thursday morning in a Fayetteville nursing home after a long illness.
Born in Braxton County, May 30, 1894, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Heater Lipps.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lorene Crow of Charmco and Mrs. Vergie Gilkerson of Rupert, and two sons, Paul of Charmco, and L. H. of Columbus, Ohio.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Smathers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. P. E. Orndorff in charge. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today.
Bessie married Matthew Homer HUNTER, son of Matthew Arthur HUNTER and Lucinda ZIMMERMAN, on 7 Dec 1916 in Greenbrier Co., WV.40 (Matthew Homer HUNTER was born on 17 Mar 1892 in Bungers Mills, Greenbrier Co., WV,41 died on 25 Nov 1941 in Charlottesville, VA 41 and was buried on 27 Nov 1941 in Leivasy Cemetery, Leivasy, Nicholas Co., WV 41.). The cause of his death was bronchial asthma with pulmonary fibrosis and bronchiectasis/chronic pansinusitis; late latent syphilis.
