HINES - Gertrue McClung Sutherland, 83, of Hines, Greenbrier County, died July 22, 1997, in Columbia Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor, Va., after a short illness.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Surviving: sons, Marcus M. "Buck" and Denver F. "Tuffy," both of Hines; daughters, Dallas "Tootsie" Dobbs of Clifton Forge, Va., Barbara "Sis" Jones of Hines; sisters, Vera Campbell of Hines, Verna Mukalla of Hazel Park, Mich., Essie Ledbetter of Paragould, Ark.; brothers, Carl "Boss" McClung of Orient Hill, Nelson McClung of Rupert; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Houston Boothe officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
