DANESE - Ray William Rookstool, 61, of Danese, Fayette County, died Monday in Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley after a long illness.
He was a retired miner.
Surviving: wife, Emma; daughters, Miss Lela Rookstool of Landisburg and Miss Lisa Rookstool at home; son, Clyde of Meadow Bridge; stepdaughters, Mrs. Jackie Ewing of Layland and Mrs. Judy Neely of Burnsville; stepsons, Roger Avis of Meadow Bridge and Stuart Avis of Chicago, Ill.; sister, Mrs. Retha Vandall of Walkerton, Ind.; brothers, Raymond of Meadow Bridge, Ralph of Baberton, Ohio, Russell of Rainelle, Roy of Springdale, and Roscoe of Rupert.
Service will be 2 p.m. today at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Rainelle with the Rev. Ernest Barley officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
Ray married Goldie Marie WALKUP, daughter of Andrew Jackson WALKUP and Bertha Madalene FLANAGAN.
