RAINELLE (RNS) - Services for George W. Smith, 76, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Smathers Funeral Home Chapel in Rainelle with the Revs. Bruce Wood and Howard Harper in charge. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cementery in Clintonville.
He died Monday morning at home of an apparent heart attack.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Gilkeson Smith, four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Johnson of Clifton Forge, Va., Mrs. Nancy Myers of Billings, Mont., Mrs. Ruth Legg of Quinwood and Miss Madeline Smith of Rainelle; three sons, Charles and Patrick, both of Rainelle, and Gayle of Charlotte, N. C.; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Lawson of MacArthur; 17 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.
George married Carrie GILKESON, daughter of Samuel Thompson GILKESON and Della Effie MILLER, in 1919.359 (Carrie GILKESON was born in 1902,64 died in 1983 64 and was buried in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, Greenbrier Co., WV 64.)
