Joseph S. O'Dell Dies In Hospital
RAINELLE, July 1 (RNS) - Joseph Sanford O'Dell, 85, of Rainelle died in a Beckley hospital at 11:30 p. m. Monday after a two year illness.
He was a retired carpenter and farmer and was a member of the Soule Chapel Methodist Church of Meadow Bluff and of the modern woodmen lodge of East Rainelle. O'Dell was born in Greenbrier County, March 22, 1873.
Survivors include his wife, Henrietta Harlow O'Dell; two sons, John William O'Dell and Thomas Edward O'Dell, both of Rainelle; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Phipps of Rainelle, Mrs. Annetta Thaver of Newark, N. J., and Mrs. Ethel Hughes of Imperial Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter and two great-stepgrandsons.
The body is at Nickel Funeral Home at East Rainelle. Arrangements are incomplete.
