SPRING HILL, Fla. \emdash French H. Walkup, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, March 27, 2010.
He was born in Dawson, W.Va., French served in the U.S. Military during WWII and was a graduate of WVU.
He and his wife of 61 years lived in France and Germany and traveled around the world with Civil Service and the Foreign Service.
French is survived by his wife Joyce Eileen; daughter Joyce (Tinky) Walkup of Whitefish, Mont.; sons David of Grand Prairie, Texas, Greg of Chesapeake, Va., and Steve of Trinity, Fla.; granddaughters, Ashley, Sarah, Rachel, and Julia; grandsons, Keelan and Andrew; a sister, Evelyn Young, and brother, Bob Walkup.
Celebration of life will be held at the Walkup homestead at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2010. Internment with Military honors will be at Wallace Memorial Cemetery.
