ZOPP, Wesley - 66, of Rupert, Greenbrier County, died yesterday at his home after an eight-month illness. He was a retired coal miner, a member of Due Local 6632 of UMWA, and a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Betty Bietz Zopp, and three sisters, Mrs. Dollie Shawver and Mrs. Kathryn Shafer, both of Rupert, and Mrs. Mona Clark of Huntington. Service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Big Clear Creek Baptist Church and burial will be in End of the Trail Cemetery under the direction of Nickell mortuary of East Rainelle. The service will be conducted by Rev. R. T. Mustoe, Rev. J. E. Brown and Rev. W. M. Hall. The body will be removed from the mortuary to the home at 4:30 p. m. today and will be placed In the church one hour prior to service.
Wesley married Bettie BEITZ, daughter of Joseph Henry BEITZ and Florence McCLUNG, on 16 Jun 1917 in Greenbrier Co., WV.40 (Bettie BEITZ was born on 3 Aug 1893 in Rupert, Greenbrier Co., WV,55 died in Dec 1981 in Rainelle, Greenbrier Co., WV 55 and was buried in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, Greenbrier Co., WV.)
