EAST RAINELLE - Retired farmer Lewis Ernest Hill, 83, of Smoot, Greenbrier County, died yesterday in Greenbrier Valley Hospital.
He was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church where the funeral will be held on Wesnesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Hobert Quesenberry. Burial will be in Puckett Cemetery.
Surviving: wife, Sallie; daughter, Mrs. Merlyene Colley of Charleston; stepdaughters, Mrs. Louise Seater of New York City; Mrs. Betty Jo Stephens of Rupert; stepson, Charles Anderson of Cincinnati, Ohio; foster son, William Legg of Rainelle; sisters, Mrs. Cora Puckett of Dawson, Mrs. Lina Cowan of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Pearl Tabor of Princeton, Mrs. Ora Martin of Vale; brother, Earl Hill of Vale; and nine grandchildren.
