C.O. Crane, 86, Has Fatal Attack
LEWISBURG (RNS) -- Charles Oakley Crane, 86, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday at his home. Death was attributed to an apparent heart attack.
Born at Renick, Nov. 11, 1881, he was a son of the late Joe and Elizabeth Livesay Crane; a member of Renick Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Hanna of Fairlea; three sons, Rev. William L. Crane of Lithis, Va., Rev. LeRoy Crane of Lewisburg and L. Marshall Crane of Tennessee; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Renick Baptist Church with Rev. Homer Piercy and Rev. William T. Whitefield in charge. Burial will be in McMillion Cemetery at Friars Hill. The body is at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg where friends may call after 5 p/m/ today.
