    • Obituary of Orval Crane -

      Orval M. Crane, 73, of Renick died Thursday, July 7 at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Lowmoor, VA after a long illness.

      Born May 26, 1921 at Renick, he was the son of the late Eddie and Bessie Viers Crane.

      Mr. Crane was a member of Spring Creek Presbyterian Church at Renick, and a retired Master Mechanic with Green Construction Company. He was a 27 year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers.

      He was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Cohenour. Survivors include his wife, Erie Anne Spencer Crane; sons, Earl and wife, Barbara of Lewisburg, Bob and wife, Ada, of Renick, John and wife, Patty of Marlinton; grandchildren, Corkey, Lori Ann, Robert, Marshall, Jayme and Jaclyn Crane; stepgrandchild Crystal Baldwin; great grandchildren, Trey and Cassie Crane and two step great grandchildren, Samantha and Jacob Baldwin; sisters Ina Franklin of
      Dover, PA, Christina Mills Reynolds of Brookston, IN, and Maysel [sic] Williams of Frankford; brothers Garland, Lanford and Harold, all of Lewisburg and Alston of Sam Black Church.

      Services will be 2 PM Sunday and Jack K. Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Rev. Jim Anderson and Rev. Mark Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery, Renick. Friends may call after 3 PM Saturday at the Jack K. Wallace Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7-9 PM.
