    • Obituary -- Glenna Lucille McMillen Crane

      Glenna Lucille Crane, 96, of Meadow Bridge passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022.

      Glenna was born on January 30, 1926 in Lockbridge; she was the daughter of the late Sidney McMillen and Hattie Florence Gwinn McMillen.

      Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Ray Crane; a son, David Crane; siblings, Ray McMillen, Joe McMillen, Juanita Campbell and a son in law, Bud Willis.

      Glenna was a 1944 graduate of Sandstone High School. After graduating, she went to Baltimore, MD and worked in a military factory making detonators during World War II. Once the war ended, she came back to WV and worked at Rosalee’s Restaurant in Rainelle and George Aide Store.

      She was a member of the Elton Community Church where she was the secretary for many years.

      She was the owner and operator of Crane’s store and restaurant with her husband. In her spare time she loved reading, working in her yard and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

      Survivors include her children, Jeanne Willis of Jackson, OH, Larry (Becky) Crane of Elton, Glen (Melissa) Crane of Elton; siblings, Russell McMillen, Norma (Lonnie) Goins, Elbert (Mary Anne) McMillen, Aaron (Janice) McMillen; sister-in- laws, Carol Crane Hill and Virginia McMillen ; brother-in-law, Johnny Campbell; grandchildren, Le (Missy) Burnett, Brandon (Darlene) Burnett, Larry Paul Crane, Jon Crane, Ean Crane, Aiden Crane and Isaac Crane; great grandchildren, Holly (Shane) Towe, Cody (Allie) Burnett, Gauge Burnett and Brandi Burnett; great great grandchildren, Charlie Towe, Alex Towe, Damion Towe and Wyatt Burnett.

      Service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2022 at Elton Community Church with Pastor Chase Whitten officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
