  	Obituary -- Earl Kruger Kirby, Sr. Earl Kruger Kirby, 82, of 419 DuPont Ave., died Thursday morning (Feb. 18, 1962) at his residence. He was born Jan. 16, 1900 ar Cambridge, Md., son of Joseph G. and Gertrude (Moore) Kirby. He was associated with Virginia Electric and Power Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1965, and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, Edna O. (Bosserman) Kirby; two sons, Earl K. Jr. of Waynesboro and Francis E. Kirby of Staunton; a brother, Joseph Gordon Kirby of Cambridge, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Sidney E. Matthews of Naples, Fla.; one grandson, and three step-grandchildren. A service will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Hamrick Funeral Home by Dr. Havey W. Ashby. Burial will be in Thornrose Cemetery. Pallbearers will be R. L. Masincup, R. G. Phillips, F. L. Hamilton, Jack Rhodes, Fred R. Lucas, A. Clay Franklin, Allen L. Persinger, and Preston Campbell.
