KAREN K. O'NEILL - ACTIVE IN GAMBRILLS
A Mass of Christian burial for Karen K. O'Neill, who was active in the Gambrills community, will be offered today at 11 a.m. today at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholci Church in Crofton.
Mrs. O'Neill, who was 41 and lived in Gambrills, died Wednesday of cancer at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
A native of Baltimore, the former Karen Kelly attended Catonsville High School before moving with her family to Charlotesville, Va. where she graduated from Albermarle High School. Later she attended Sacred Heart College in Belmont, N.C.
She had lived in the Crofton and Gambrills areas for 18 years and has been a Girl Scout leader at the Crofton Woods Elementary School. She also served as treasurer of the Nancarles Property Owners Association and was a student of sign language.
Her husband, Nelson L. O'Neill, ia a vice president of the Nevamar Corp.
In addition to her husband, her survivors include a daughter, Kelly O'Neill of Gambrills; a son, Conor O'Neill of Gambrills; her parents, Thomas and Dorothea Kelly of Charlotesville; a brother, Kevin B. Kelly of Atlanta; and a sister, Pamela J. Jennings of New Rochelle, N.Y.
