John Fitzgerald Rhodes, Jr., 33, of McRoss, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021.
Born April 27, 1987, in Ronceverte, he was the son of John F. Rhodes, Sr. of Rainelle and Tina Osborne (Dave Reel) of Quinwood.
John worked as a laborer for a saw mill. He loved to fish, ginseng and be outdoors.
He preceded in death by the mother of his son Nicole Ramsey; and a sister Sarah Rhodes.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son Andrew “Eli” Rhodes; one brother Jason Wykle of McRoss; two sisters Jennifer Adkins (Houston) of Quinwood and April Rhodes of White Sulphur Springs; his maternal grandmother Dorothy Osborne of Crag; and many extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be 12 noon, Saturday, February 6, at Smathers Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Joey Terry officiating.
