Patrick Allen Simms, 44, of Danese passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2022.
Born on March 20, 1978 in Beckley.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Howard and Evelyn McGuire Simms and maternal grandfather, Robert “Brownie” Rhodes; 1st wife, Colleen Rozelle and an infant son, Patrick Reed Simms.
Pat loved art, carpentry, music and his family.
Those left behind to remember Pat are his maternal grandmother, Janetta Shuck Rhodes of Hopewell, VA; father, Darrell (Terry) Simms of Danese; mother, Valerie Thompson (Gary Lefler) of Land-O-Lakes, FL, step mother, Carolyn Simms of Rainelle; brothers, Weston (Karla) Simms of Meadow Bridge and Casey (Samantha) Simms of Chestnut Knob; sister, Evella Simms of Rainelle; 2nd wife, Jasmine Coy of Newport, NC and daughters, Jada and Gwendolyn; nephews, Abel Simms of Chestnut Knob, River Simms and Blake Simms both of Sophia; nieces, Abigail (Joey) Simms of Morgantown ,Brooke Simms of Sophia; very special cousin, Donna Sheaves of Danese; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial graveside service will be held at a later date at Howard F. Simms Cemetery, Loops Road in Danese with Alan Whitt officiating.
