Howard Meadows Claimed By Death
RUPERT, Dec. 15 - Funeral Services for Howard Meadows, 70, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Amwell Baptist Chucrch, with Rev. W,. Fain of Rupert, and Rev. J. E. Smith, also of Rupert officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
A retired miner and carpenter, Mr. Meadows died at his home just west of Rupert on Sunday afternoon. He had been ill for three years.
He was a son of Peter and Harriett Corbett Meadows, and was born at Summersville March 9, 1882. He was a member of Amwell Baptist Church.
Meadows is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula Crane Meadows; two sons, John Meadows of Meadow Bridge, and Roscoe Meadows of Panama City, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Webb of Man, and Mrs. Melda Cadle of Intercession City, Fla.; 18 grandchildren anbd nine great-grandchildren.
Also suviving are two brothers, Mack of Summersville, and Edgar at Oak Hill and two sisters, Mrs. Lula Pitsenbarger of Orient Hill and Mrs. Leila Hoover of Hot Springs, Ark.
Nickell Mortuary has charge of funeral arrangmeents, and the body will be removed to the home at four o'clock on Tuesday.
