- Obituary for Betty Alice Cox
Betty Alice Javins Cox was born on September 9, 1947 and passed on November 4, 2017 after a long battle with heart issues and dementia. She was the daughter of the late Dilford and Belvia Javins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Loren W Cox, a sister, Margaret Javins, and brothers Eugene, Charles Dale and Ronnie Javins.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, James W "Jim" Cox, sons, Curtis E Cox (Sandra), J Kevin Cox (Kimberly) and John Adam Cox. Siblings: Carolyn Smith, William Javins (Jane), Loretta Holstein (Orville), Frank Javins, Ralph Javins, Barbara Mullins (Richard). Grand Children: Samantha Cox (Jason Grubb), Heather Cox, Corey Cox and Karissa Cox. Great Grandchildren: Laila Cox, Landon Kelly, and Axton Grubb and many nieces and nephews.
Betty worked as a waitress at Shoneys in Charleston and was employed by Isratex in Rainelle as well as a house wife and loving mother to four sons. She was warm loving woman with many friends that will miss her sweet smile.
There will be a memorial service at the Rainelle Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 781 James River & Kanawha Turnpike on Saturday, Nov 11 at 1:00pm.
There will be another memorial service in the Meadow Bridge Community Building on Sunday, November 12 at 2:00pm to meet and share memories with her family and friends.
Her life began in Boone County where she grew up and she lived her life in Charleston, Ashford, Wallback, Newton, Meadow Bridge and Rainelle WV.
