- Obituary of Lawrence "Marshall" Crane
Lewisburg - Lawrence "Marshall" Crane, 71, died Saturday, February 17, 1996 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea following a long illness.
Born December 4, 1924 at Renick, he was the son of the late Charles Oakley and Ada Dixon Hume Crane.
He was a former clerk with Kmart and Western Auto in Nashville, TN. He also served two years with the National Guard during WWII. Mr. Crane was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Hester Crane on July 23, 1951 and an infant sister. Survivors include: a sister, Ruth and Leo Hanna of Lewisburg; brothers Rev. William Leslie Crane of Roanoke, VA, Joseph H. and Edith Crane of Cornstalk, and Rev. Leroy and Ruby Crane of Lewisburg; nieces Judy Faulkner of Bluefield and Joyce Moody of Lewisburg; nephew, Robert Carroll Crane of Lewisburg; many other relatives and close friends.
Service were held at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in Lewisburg with Rev. Houston Boothe officiating. Burial was in McMillion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Friars Hill.
