- OBITUARY OF VIOLA MORRISON HANSON
Mrs. Viola Beatrice (Morrison) Hanson, 101, widow of Mr. Omer Lee Hanson, Staunton, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Loretta Gay and Bobby Whitson, with whom she made her home.
Viola was born May 17, 1907, in Crawley, W.Va., the daughter of the late Harvey Henderson and Rose Dell (McClung) Morrison.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hanson was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Keith Morrison and a sister, Mrs. Stacy Hobbs. Mrs. Hanson is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Loretta Gay and Bobby Whitson of Staunton; a grandson, Robert Lee Whitson of Staunton; and two great-granddaughters, Krista L. Whitson and Kellie L. Whitson, both of Staunton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
