  	Obituary of Carl Andrew Patterson RUPERT -- Carl Andrew Patterson, 82, of 199 Goshen St., Fairlea, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at his home after an extended illness. Born June 7, 1925, at Hughart, he was a son of the late William Carl and Ada Via Williams Patterson. Mr. Patterson, along with his wife, was owner and operator of Fairlea Vacuum Service until August 2007. He was of the Baptist faith, was a member of Greenbrier Masonic Lodge No. 42, and was a retired heavy equipment operator and had retired from Greenbrier Recycling. Other than his parents, Carl was preceded in death by a brother, Red Patterson, and a granddaughter, Ruby Faye. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Kathleen Hines Patterson; daughters Linda Raines of Johnson City, Tenn., and Martha Jane Hicks and husbnad, the Rev. Jay Hicks, of clintonville; a brother Jimmy Dale Patteson and wife Kay Ellen, of Conway, S.C.; seven grandchildren , 16 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, Lewisburg. Internment [with] Masonic graveside rites will be at Wallace Memorail Cemetery, Clintonville.
