Evelyn Lousie Hines, 98, of Rupert passed away on October 25, 2017 at Peyton Hospice House.
Born on June 2, 1919 at Quinnimont, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Isaac Johnson and Della May Taylor Johnson.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by 1st husband, James Dillon Cales; 2nd husband, Joseph [Stetson] Hines; daughter, Betty Lanham; 3 grandsons, James (Jim) Willey, Danny Groves, Chuck Groves and 1 granddaughter, Meleah Lanham.
Evelyn was a homemaker; a loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving are children, Patricia Willey of Sandstone, Remona Oney of Mt. Airy, NC, Gloria Puffenbarger and Tom of Rupert, James (Jack) Cales and Charlene of Rupert and Nina Gabbert and Ernie of Rupert; Grandchildren, Teddy Willey, Evelyn Walker, Kathryn McDonald, Kenny Groves, Lisa Legg, John Harmon, Jerry Harmon, Tina Van Hoy, Crystal White, Sherri Dooley, Chip Puffenbarger, Travis Puffenbarger, Jacqueline Cales, J.D. Cales, Bob Shaffer, Joe Shaffer; 2 sisters, Lucille Bennett and Maxine Shortland and 3 more generations of grandchildren.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday October 29, 2017 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel with Pastor Felix Baker and Pastor Tim Hart officiating. Burial will follow at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville
