- Obituary of Mamie Virginia Thompson Smith
CRAWLEY (fns) -- Mrs. Mayme [sic] Virginia Smith, 93, died Tuesday morning in a Kanawha County hospital after a short illness.
Born at Clintonville, Sept. 6, 1881, she was a daughter of the late David T. and Fannie Snyder Thompson.
She was the oldest member of the Sam Black United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Fannie Thompsom of Crawley, Mrs. Thelma Hall of Scottt Depot, Mrs. Wiilie Shiltz of Dunbar and Mrs. Louise Hall of Sandyville; one son , James Everette of Crawley; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Smathers Funeral Home in Rainelle with Rev. Ray Perkins and Rev. Leroy Crane in charge. Burial will be in End of the Trail Cemetery at Clintonville.
