- Obituary - Dollie Lee Shafer
RUPERT -- Dollie Lee "Jackie" Shafer, 86, of Rupert, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 4, 2007, at Univeristy of Virginia Hospital at Charlottesville, Va., following a short illness.
Born Sept. 12, 1921, at Rainelle, she was a daughter of the late Willian Elvin and Kathryn Amanda Zopp Shafer.
Jackie was a member of Big Clear Creek Baptist Church of Rupert and a member of the Rupert Women's Club. She was the owner and operator of Shafer Hardware Store in Rupert for many years.
Survivors include a brother William "Bill" Clyde Shafer and wife Mina of Rupert; three nieces, Wyon Wheatley of Colonial Heights, Va., Jill Mayer and husband Mike, of Petersburg, Va., and Billie Jean Shafer of Rupert; and two special friends, Cindy Harris and Earl Arnett.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle, with the Rev. Gene Kuhn officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
