- Obituary -- Nancy Yvonne Morton Hypes
Mrs. Nancy Yvonne Hypes, 38, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, in her home folowing an apparant self-inflicted gun shot wound, according to Officer W. T. Webb of the Fayette County Sheriff's Dept.
Born Jan. 19, 1950, she was the daughter of Mary Crane Snuffer of Crawley and the late John Morton.
Mrs. Hypes was a 12-year resident of Victor, member of the Sunday Road Baptist Church at Hico, the Pythian Sisters of Anstead and a former employee of Harry's Movie Hut.
Other survivors include her husband, Lowell Hypes; stepfather, Jim Snuffer of Crawley; a daughter, Mary King of Norfolk, Va.; two sons, John Lee Hypes of Triangle, Va. and Billy Hypes at home; a sister, Kathy Willis of Columbus, Ohio, and four brothers, John Morton of Columbus, Rick Morton of Princeton, Jimmy Snuffer of Charlotte, N.C. and UT3 Mike Snuffer with the Navy serving in Adros, Bahamas.
Services will be Friday at 2 p. m. at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Chapel in Anstead with the Rev. David Sneed offciaiting. Burial will be in the Haynes Chapel Cemmetery at Victor.
