- Obituary of Roxie L. Crane
LEWISBURG - Roxie Lou Crane, 86, went to be with her Lord on Easter Sunday, April 23, 2000, at her home in Lewisburg, following a long illness.
Born Sept. 4, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Sarah McClanahan Clair. Mrs. Crane was the founder of the Rupert Church of God, a member of the Fairlea Church of God, a former pastor of the Renick Church of God
and the Lookout Church of God, and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five children, one brother, three sisters and three grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Lowell D. Crane; four daughters, Jean Caudill of Millers Creek, N.C., Linda Vestal of Princeton, Dina Dishman of Peoria, Ariz., and Carolyn Shafer of Lewisburg; three stepdaughters, Phyllis Yost of Durango, Colo., Janice Crane of Salisbury, Md., and Thelma Winfree of Parsonsburg, Md.; four sons, Bill Agee of Glenville, David Agee of Highland Heights, Ky., Henry Agee of Auto, and Harvey Agee of Quinwood; a stepson, Lowell D. Crane of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Pearl Kendall of Lebanon, Ohio; 27 grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren,
37 great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Bartholomew Perry and Susan Erskine officiating. Entombment will follow in Wallace Memorial Mausoleum, Clintonville. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements by Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle.
