  	Obituary of Mr. Witt Deitz Mr. Witt Deitz, 87, of Rupert died Feb. 23, 2001, at the Autumn Way care Center in Rupert, following a short illness. Born Sept. 30, 1913, at Kieffer, he was the son of the late Theodore and Ora Beitz Deitz. Mr. Deitz was a retired coal miner, a logger, a member of the UMWA, and a member of the Beaver Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Deitz was preceded in death by two sons, Bruce Wayne and James Arnold Deitz; two sisters, Ethel Piercy and Edith hedges; and four brothers, Everil, Joe, Frank and William Deitz. Survivors include: his wife, Mary Hunter Deitz of Rupert; two daughters, Barbara D. Tharp and husband, Robert D., of Kieffer, and Anna M. Hagy, and husband, Thomas W., of Rupert; one sister, Irene Martindale of Roanoke, Va.; and five grandchildren, Jeffrey Hagy, Safina Hagy, Christina Tharp, Greg Tharp, and Jaime Deitz. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gary Eisenman officiating. Burial will be in the Burns Cemetery, Kieffer. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home. Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle is in charge of arrangements.l
