CHAPEL HILL - Mrs. Margaret "Cricket" McLean Myers, 76, died Oct. 22, 1992, from cancer.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at University Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Baltimore, she was a member of the Junior Leagues of Trenton, N.J., Richmond, Va., and Durham and Orange counties. She served on the Lenoir County Board of Elections and was a former co-chairman of the Orange County GOP.
Surviving are husband, John H. McLean II; sons, Dr. William Starr McLean of Cornelia, Ga., John Hull McLean III of Washington;sister, Mrs. Charles Hurlcamp of Hilton Head, S.C.; four grandchildren.

- Conversation with John Hull McLean: "We were married at 5 o'clock in the afternoon because Princeton was playing a football game against Yale, and everybody wanted to watch the game. Our wedding took place in the choir area at Princeton's chapel where about 50 people attended. This was unlike Cricket's sister Virginia's wedding where 1,800 were in attendance."
