- Obituary -- William H. von Oehsen
Willaim H. von Oehsen Jr. died the Nov. 22 [sic] at the Frances E. Parker Memorial Home in Piscataway. He was 61.
Born in Neptune, he had lived in Ocean Grove and Priceton before moving to Piscataway 12 years ago.
Mr. von Oehsen had been an assistant Mercer County prosecutor and public defender for many years before his retirement. He had also established his own private practice and served as a Priceton Bourough Zoning Board attorney. Prior to that, he had practiced law with Mason, Griffin and Moore and served as an assitant Princeton Township attorney.
Mr. von Oehsen had received his law degree from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville. He had graduated from Princeton University and remained an active member of the Class of 1956.
He was an active member of Trinity Church in Princeton.
He had served on the board of the Princeton Small Animal Rescue League for many years.
Surviving are his wife, the former Barbara Weld Kohlsaat; four sons, William H. of Brookeville, Md., James Barr of Gillsville, Ga., Thomas Weld and John Stewart, both of Princeton, and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 9 at Trinty Church in Princeton.
