- Obituary -- Alvira Crane Burns
The Greenbrier Independent, Volume XXXV, Issue 25, November 29, 1900
Mrs. Burns, wife of Mr. J. M. Burns, and mother of our County Superintendent, L. W. Burns, died last Friday, the 23rd inst., at her home near Meadow Bluff, this county, aged 50 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church, and was a most estimable lady. She leaves a husband, four children and many friends and relatives to mourn her demise.
