  	Obituary - Gilbert Christopher Shafer Rites Set Friday For G. C. Shafer KESSLER -- Gilbert C. Shafer, 73, died at his home here at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday as the result of a heart ailment. He was a retired schoiol teacherand farmer and a member of the Big Clear Creek Baptist Church at Rupert. Born here July 29, 1885, Shafer was a son of the late George W. and Lucinda Judy Shafer. He is suvived by his wife, Mrs. Xerdie B. Shafer, a sister, Mrs. Rachel Burdette of Charmco, four daughters, Mrs. Edna Roland and Mrs. Lenora Fleshman, both of Clintonville, Mrs. Anna Belle Cook of Kessler, and Mrs. Mary Ethelk Masters of Ronceverte,; a son; L. G. (Buddy) Shafer of Summerville; and 14 grandchildren. The funeraal will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. ain the Big Clear Creek Baptist Church...[and] burial will be in the family cemetery.
