RAINELLE - Robert Homer Gillespie, 68, dies Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at
Charleston Area Medical Center following along illness.
Born March 19, 1933, in Crag, he was the son of the late Homer and
Nora Osborne Gillespie.
Mr. Gillespie was a coal miner.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Hobert, Don and Clifford
Gillespie.
Survivors include three daughters, Drema Kincaid of Meadow Bridge,
Connie Callison of Hines, and Pam Diehl of Rupert; three sons, Rick
Gillespie of Beckley and Brian and Jeff Gillespie, both of North
Carolina; seven sisters, Zelda Turner of Illinois, Pansy Tincher and
Violet Aldridge, both of Rainelle, Elsie Pillow of Roanoke, Va., Fern
Osborne of Belva, Lillian Kincaid of Ohio and Lenore Highlander of
Alderson; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home
Chapel, Rainelle, with the Rev. Mike Whiseman officiating. Burial
will follow in Surbaugh Cemetery, Crag.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
