- Obituary -- Elsie Lucille Osborne Pillow
Elsie L. Pillow, 94 of Beckley, formerly of Roanoke, Virginia, went to be with her Lord whom she thanked for her blessed life on Saturday, September 21, 2019, in the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, following a long illness.
Born June 13, 1925, in Rainelle, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Nora Osbourne Gillespie.
Elsie loved gardening, embroidering, beach trip, bowling, family reunions. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the First Friendship Life Group in Roanoke, Va. She was a loving and giving sister, aunt and friend who was dearly loved by all.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Richard Pillow, four sisters Letha Gillespie, Zelda Turner, Pansy Tincher, Fern Osborne; four brothers Holbert, Don, Clifford and Robert Gillespie.
She will be sadly missed by her sisters Violet Aldridge of Lewisburg, Lillian Kincaid of Perrysburg, Ohio, Lenora Highlander of Rainelle, and much loved nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, at Smathers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Wayne Peters officiating.
Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
