- Obituary -- David Lewis Sanford
David Lewis Sanford, 67, of Rainelle, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at his home following a long illness.
Born January 4, 1952, on Sims Mountain, Rainelle, he was the son of the late David Bruce and Georgia Hilda Sims Sanford.
David was a graduate of Greenbrier West High School. He worked mainly in lawn care. He loved his work. David had a collection of Hot Wheels that he enjoyed. He was of the Baptist faith. “Big Dave” will be remembered as a faithful friend.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Marion Henry Sanford; and his sister Georgia Karen Henson.
Survivors include his son Jeremy Sanford (Shelby) of Nicholas, South Carolina; his brother Rickey Sanford and wife Dolores of Muddy Creek Mountain; and a host of extended family and friends.
