Death	Obituary -- Nina Mae Irene Bennett McClung RUPERT -- Mrs. Nina I McClung, 84, died Monday, Jan. 11, at a Fairlea hospital following a long illness. Born April 18, 1903, at Ronceverte, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Shafer Bennett. Mrs. McClung was a retired school teacher from Ronceverte schools, a postmistress at Jetsville for 30 years and a member of the Rupert Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband , Oather MClung in 1973; a son Dennis McClung in 1980 and a daughter, Dorothy McClung in 1935. Survivots include five daughters, Frances Cales of White Sulphur Springs, Florence Anderson of Ravenswood, Frankie Meadows of Wintersville, Ohio, Naomi Pitsenbarger of Summerville, S.C., and Martha McClung of Rupert; five sons, Oather H. McClung, Jr, of Ironton, Ohio, Donald McClung of Richwood, David McClung of Millersport, Ohio, Delmas McClung of Greensboro, N.C., and Larry McClung of Fredricksburg, Va.; 24 grandchildren and 22 greatgrandchildren. Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Smathers Funeral Chapel in Rainelle with Rev. Ernest Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Nettie.
