Othella Grace Legg, 82, of Dawson passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2017 at her home with her family at her bedside.
Born on September 16, 1934 at Crag, she was the daughter of the late Simon Jackson and Myrtle Jane Callison Wooldridge.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a homemaker. She began playing music at an early age. She was a faithful member of the Meadow Grove Baptist Church where she played the organ and sang alto in the choir and quartet. She also served as the church clerk, Vacation Bible School assistant and had been the president of Meadow Grove Baptist Church ABW for many years.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 60 years, William “Bill” Legg of Dawson; a son, Larry (Debora) Legg; daughters, Linda (Lake Thomas) Shoemaker and Louvonne (Douglas) Arbuckle; grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Legg, Leslie Katlyn Shoemaker and Kerri Grace Arbuckle.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Meadow Grove Baptist Church, Dawson, with Rev. Les Mullens officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Friday evening at the church.
