Rainelle Woman Dies; Rites Slated; October 16, 1970
RAINELLE (RNS) - Mrs. Mary Clyde Scudder, 81, of Rainelle died Wednesday in a Ronceverte hospital after a long illness.
She was born at Rainelle, May 12, 1889, a daughter of the late N. P. and Effie Church Hoke. She was a member of the Sewell Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. May Cooper of Alderson, Mrs. Oleta Wozanick of Linthicum, Md., Mrs. Margie Barrett of Tazwell, Va., and Mrs. Mary Frances Harmon of Marfrance; two sons, Ira of Rainelle and Roy of Russell, Ky.; two brothers, Bill of Sam Black and John of Portland, Ore.; 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Sewell Valley Baptist Church with Rev. P. E. Orndorff and Rev. E. B. powers in charge.
