- FREDA J. ARMSTRONG
RAINELLE - Mrs. Freda Jean Armstrong, 61, died Monday, Dec. 25, in
a Charleston hospital fol-lowing a long illness.
Born Oct. 27, 1928, at Rainelle, she was the daughter of the late
Will and Bertie Kenney Sims.
Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the Minnie Belle Baptist Church at
Corliss and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Howard Armstrong on
Nov. 10, 1988, and a brother, Robert Sims.
Suvivors include four sisters; Mary Knight, Mrs. Robert (Martha)
Ellison and Mrs. Roy (Chila) Sher-man, all of Largo, Fla. and Mrs.
Kermit (Maebelle) Hunter, Sr. of Rainelle; four brothers, Ralph, Roy
and Troy Sims, all of Rainelle and David Sims of Lincolnton, Ga., and
several nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Rainelle.
Grandsons will serve as pall-bearers.
