  	Obituary of PATRICK ERNEST SMITH Funeral services for Patrick Ernest Smith, 47, of the Loops Road, Rainelle, who died Sunday morning, of an apparent heart attack, were held Tuesday, March 22, at Smathers Funeral Home, Rainelle, the Rev. Bennie Kenney in charge. Entombment was in Wallace Memorial Mausoleum at Clintonville, with Masonic rites held by the Midland Trail Lodge 166. Son of the late George Washington and Carrie Gilkeson Smith, he was born at Rainelle, and was employed by the Beckley Coal Co. of Glen Daniel, member of the UMWA Local 1895, Rainelle Moose Lodge and Midland Trail Masonic Lodge. His mother and brother, Joseph Smith, both died in February. Surviving are: a brother Gayol Smith of Charlotte, N. C.; four sisters, Madeline Smith of Rainelle, Mildred Johnson of Clifton Forge, Va., Ruth Legg of White Sulphur Springs and Nancy Myers of Billings, Mont.
