- Obituary -- Mary Helen Rowsey Simms
Mary Helen Simms , 71, of the 1400 Block of Shelton Road, a homemaker, died June 25, 1994, in a local hospital. Mrs. Simms was born in Buena Vista, Va. She was the widow of Leeson Simms.
Survivors include a son, Gary Chittum of Virginia Beach; a sister, Virginia Ramsey of Buena Vista, Va.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Bobby Allen of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
