  	Obituary for Luther Eugene "Gene" Simms Luther Eugene “Gene” Simms, 76, of Charmco passed away at his home on Sunday, August 26, 2018. Born on December 23, 1941 at Rainelle, he was the son of the late Jesse Fred and Freda Mae Simms. Luther liked to hunt and fish. Survivors are one brother, Jessie Shelton Simms of Flint, Michigan. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Pastor Jack Dempsey officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 until time of service at the funeral chapel. The body will be cremated after the services. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to defray expenses.
