  	Obituary -- Florence Elizabeth Dosier Scudder Florence Elizabeth Scudder, 93, of Rainelle, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019, in the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, following a short illness. Born June 20, 1925, at Blaker’s Mill, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Myrtle Falls Dosier. Florence was a homemaker and a member of the Sewell Valley Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Ira Scudder; 1 daughter Mary Jane Scudder; 4 brothers Clarence, Emmett, Denny, and Ernest Dosier; and 4 sisters Bridget Monroe, Mabel Osborne, Eva Kirby, and Flora Dimascio. Survivors include her son James “Jimmy” Scudder of Rainelle; her daughter Janet Martin and husband Frankie of Grassy Meadows; 3 brothers Frank Dosier of Rupert, Robert Dosier of Augusta, Georgia, and Kenneth Dosier and wife Brenda of Ft. Myer, Florida; 2 sisters Ruth Bennett and Phyllis Collins, both of Rainelle; her sister-in-law Wilma Dosier of Mississippi; 2 grandchildren Joshua Martin and wife Trish of Grassy Meadows and Sheena Williams and husband Jason of Meadow Bridge; and soon to arrive great-grandson Chase Ryker Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, in the Sewell Valley Baptist Church, Rainelle, with Pastor Fred Fryar officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
