- Obituary -- Nellie Maybelle Price Hanna
Nellie Maybell Hanna, 89, of Clintonville, entered her heavenly home Thursday, June 16, 2022, in the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, following a long illness.
Born October 10, 1932, at Clintonville, she was the daughter of the late Randise and Josephine Fleshman Price
Nellie was a homemaker who loved taking care of her children and feeding all the neighbor children her homemade biscuits. After her children were grown and it was just her and her husband, he started taking her to fish and hunt. She loved it, especially turkey hunting. Nellie enjoyed her flowers; puzzle books; and watching TV. She was a member of the Lewisburg Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Murrell Hanna; and two sons David and Keith Hanna.
Survivors include three sons Murlin (Sheila) of Clintonville, Richard of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Kenneth of Clintonville; three daughters Sharon Hanna of Sam Black, Kathy McClanahan of Lewisburg, and Debra Haynes (Doug) of Clintonville; eight grandchildren Shawn, David, Kimberly, Nellie, Ricky, Kelli, Keith and Kevin; and a host of extended family and friends. The family wishes to thank the hospice workers that attended to Nellie at her home and the Peyton Hospice House for the care she received and to all the friends and church family who sent cards.
A graveside will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, in the Clintonville Church of Christ Cemetery with Sam Banton officiating.
