MEADOW BRIDGE - Loren Hubert Cox, 86, of Meadow Bridge, Fayette
County, died Jan. 8, 1998, in Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, after
a long illness.
He was a retired miner and a member of Springdale Church of Christ and
the UMW.
Surviving: wife, Veva Shaffer Cox; daughter, Maureen Murphy of
Rockville, Md.; sons, Charles E. of Liege, Belgium, John L. of Hilton
Village, James W. of Rainelle; eight grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Rainelle,
with Evangelist George Deitz officiating. Burial will be in Cox family
cemetery, Meadow Bridge. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at
the funeral chapel.
