Eugene was a former schoolteacher at Poca High School and Wahama High School, worked for Manpower and was a Barber at B Street Barber Shop, St. Albans.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Tornado, and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anita "Polly" Conn; daughters and sons-in-law, Dreama and Larry Queen of Columbus, Ohio, and Gigi and Dallas Hinchcliffe of Culloden; sister, Opal Warden of Delbarton.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, Joe, Katie and Kris Queen and Preston Hinchcliffe; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Eugene was 78 years old.
