- Obituary -- William Harold Deitz Sr.
William Harold Deitz, Sr., age 100 of 79 Hileman Lane, Millboro, Virginia, on Thursday, October 24, 2013, went from his earthly home to his heavenly home, two days shy of his 101st birthday.
He was born October 26, 1912 in Frankfort, West Virginia to the late Oran Plummer Deitz and Margaret Elizabeth Fisher Deitz.
He was the retired owner/operator for Deitz Shopping Center in Millboro Springs and a member of Millboro Presbyterian Church. He was active in the Industrial Development Authority of Bath County for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Armentrout Deitz; and a son, William Harold "Billy" Dietz, Jr. in 2011.
He is survived by a daughter, Beatrice Clark and husband Sonny of Millboro; a daughter-in-law, Gloria Deitz of Millboro; eight grandchildren, William Earl "Dutch" Deitz and wife Terri, Robert Wayne Deitz and wife Rosanne, Dr. Johnny F. Clark and wife Carol, Dr. Ralph "Ron" Clark III and wife Melissa, Dr. William "Buddy" Clark and wife Laura, Robert "Bobby" Clark and wife Sharon, Charolette Clark Lotts and husband Robert, and Larry C. Clark and wife Diana; and nineteen great grandchildren.
His family would like to wish God's blessings to all his caregivers who lovingly cared for his in his home for the last five years. A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM in Windy Cove Cemetery, Millboro Springs with Reverend John Haney officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Deitz residence, 79 Hileman Lane, Millboro. Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is in charge of arrangements.
