- Obituary for Charlotte Deitz
Charlotte Armentrout Deitz, age 88, of Millboro, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville.
Born March 23, 1920 in Bath County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Frederick Porter Armentrout and Mary Edith Williams Armentrout.
She was a contract U. S. Mail Carrier for forty-six and a half years and was co-owner and operator of Deitz Shopping Center in Millboro Springs, Virginia. She was a member of Millboro Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School.
She had a great love for gardening and growing flowers and was a devoted grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Armentrout, and three sisters, Ruth Armentrout, Winnie Jones, and Virginia Weaver. She is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, W. Harold Deitz, Sr. of Millboro, a daughter and son-in-law, Beatrice and Sonny Clark of Millboro, a son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Gloria Deitz of Millboro, two sisters, Patsy Glick of Lexington and Jane P. Shanks and husband Meredith of Westminster, MD, eight grandchildren, Johnny Clark, Ronny Clark, Buddy Clark, Bobby Clark, Larry Clark, Charolette Lotts, Dutch Deitz, and Robert Deitz, nineteen great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be conducted on Sunday at 3:00 PM in Windy Cove Cemetery in Millboro Springs with Reverend John Haney officiating. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren of Mrs. Deitz. There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call anytime at the home of Billy and Gloria Deitz, 72 Hileman Lane, Millboro and will be welcome to join the family at Millboro Presbyterian Church following the service.
